Animal Health News ReleaseBomac Laboratories Ltd. to Distribute Bioniche Cue-Mate® Technology in New Zealand
03/08/04 “We are pleased to add Cue-Mate to the range of products Bomac already distributes for Bioniche in New Zealand,” said Martin Warmelink, President of Bioniche Animal Health. “As that country’s largest privately-owned animal health company, Bomac is well-positioned to advance our Cue-Mate technology to New Zealand clients. Distribution will begin this month, in time for the start of the main reproductive season for dairy producers in that country.” Bioniche expects to continue to gain significant market share in the more than US$20M worldwide market for cattle reproductive products by registering Cue-Mate® in additional jurisdictions. Cue-Mate® is a uniquely-designed progesterone delivery device for cows that allows dairy farmers and cattle producers to plan and manage the reproductive timing of their herds. Cue-Mate® is registered for sale in New Zealand, Australia, Chile, and Argentina. Bioniche acquired the intellectual property and other assets of the Cue-Mate® business earlier this year from Pfizer Inc. “Bomac is pleased to strengthen its association with Bioniche through the Cue-Mate® distribution deal,” said Connel McLaren of Bomac Laboratories Ltd. “Cue-Mate® has been available in the New Zealand market for several years and has a good following.
