Overall Job Summary:
The Territory Manager, Western Canada is responsible for introducing, marketing and selling Bioniche Animal Health Products to the Beef/Dairy and Reproduction Industry in Western Canada (British Columbia Alberta, Saskatchewan). They will also spend approximately 10-15% of their time dealing with BAHC Equine business. The Territory Manger, Western Canada will also liaise with marketing personnel on the implementation of corporate marketing/branding strategies and work collaboratively to optimize sales, meet targets and increase awareness of Bioniche Animal Health products throughout Western Canada.
Specific Accountabilities:

Promote BAHC products to Veterinarians and to other members of the Animal Health Industry (Producer’s, Educator’s, and Nutritionist’s) throughout Western Canada

Responsible to establish, build and maintain positive relationships with all Bovine and Repro (beef/dairy) accounts. (Both existing and new)

Responsible building and developing positive relationships with Equine Practioner’s.

Actively identify and pursue new markets/opportunities for introduction and sale of animal health products

Maintain sales, training and client records for Western Canada

Provide feedback to the corporate office and the Canadian Sales Manager and collaborate with them on significant field and training activities

Contribute to sales results throughout Western Canada.

Control costs of running and managing the territory as well as control costs related to training the sales reps throughout Canada on production animal products/industry
Education, Work Experience & Competencies
-
University degree or college diploma, preferably in animal science or agriculture

Must have demonstrated successful, “hands on” sales experience in pharmaceutical or animal health related (minimum 5 years)

Equine Experience

Extensive Bovine and Dairy Industry Experience is essential

Must have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication (written and oral) skills

Must have above average ability to learn products and the business

Must be a self-starter with superior time management and territory management skills

Must have the ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of Production Animal business

Must possess business acumen

Must hold a valid Canadian driver’s license
Working Conditions:
This role works largely unsupervised. The incumbent must be a self-starter, well-motivated, organized, comfortable with long periods of time in an automobile (3-5 days per week) and cognizant of the need to provide meaningful, clear, information to territory managers and office personnel. Weekend work may be required.
